1. Setembro.2007- Seven bridges Jazz festival

Amesterdão devido às suas 240 pontes, é considerada a "Veneza do Norte". O festival de jazz “seven bridges” realizou-se num canal bastante conhecido, o Reguliersgracht, por ter vista para 7 pontes. Dois palcos foram montados sobre o canal Reguliersgracht e outro em Utrechtestraat. Este festival é grátis e tem um ambiente fantástico, do género do Grachten festival mas desta vez, ao som de jazz e blues em vez de musica clássica. Gostei tanto da música de Izaline Calister, cantora de Curaçao, com música do género Salsa, que o Alexandre me ofereceu o CD dela Kanta hélele". Apesar da multidão consegui encontrar 3 amigas sem usar o telemóvel (alias, teria sido impossível telefonar): a Linda, a Ilja e a Ina. Amesterdão no Verão é uma cidade com eventos culturais como não há igual.

With its 240 bridges, Amsterdam is also known as ‘the Venice of the North’. A famous location is Reguliersgracht, a unique spot in historical Amsterdam with a view of seven bridges. This is where the Seven Bridges Jazz Festival is organised, the city’s only free jazz festival. Both up-and-coming artists and settled names make an appearance during this festival that is a fantastic and atmospheric event, also due to its setting. The outdoor concerts are followed by various after-parties with live music in nearby cafés, where you can enjoy this musical dream until deep into the night.
Despite being so crowded with people I could meet without using my mobile phone (which would have been impossible even if I tried) 3 of my friends: Linda, Ilja and Ina. It was great! Amsterdam is a city with Summer cultural events like no other.

Mais um fim de semana fantástico com a abertura da época cultural em Amsterdão. No Uitmarkt podem-se ver espectáculos de ballet e ouvir concertos de música de graça um pouco por toda a cidade. Este ano o centro foi no Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ e na ilha de Java. Olhem para mimtoda contente, à noite, depois de ter ouvido tocar os grupos que ganharam os prémios MTV. Senti-me 10 anos mais nova como quando ia aos festivais de Vilar de Mouros :)


The Uitmarkt is a event of entertainment at the start of the cultural season: from what’s coming up, to who’s up and coming. Sample the city's cultural scene with free concerts celebrating the annual lift-off. The festival began 29 years ago, with small street performances providing entertainment for those waiting in line at ticket booths - interviews with actors, skits and songs for a very limited audience. As the events gained in popularity, the festival was born. Today's Uitmarkt aims to promote the city's cultural atmosphere to the largest group of people, with previews of the coming cultural season - free of charge.

Grachtenfestival

The Grachtenfestival is the annual music festival in which performances of (classical) music on special locations in Amsterdam play the central part. These locations distinguish themselves because of a special or monumental architecture and cultural and historical value.
Inspired by a theme that changes every year, renowned soloists and ensembles in unexpected combinations create a programme of concerts specially for the festival. In 2007 the Grachtenfestival celebrates its tenth anniversary from 11 to 19 August in the city centre and along the IJ-banks of Amsterdam. Many concerts are free of charge or ask a small fee.

Um espectáculo a não perder. Os canais de Amesterdào enchem-se de barcos de todos os tamanhos que vêm para ouvir os concertos. Cria-se um ambiente tão agradável, com as pessoas na rua, sentadas em cadeiras ou almofadas que trazem de casa, a beber um copo de vinho ao som de música clássica. Há pessoas de todas as idades, raças e religiões que se unem pela música.

Estava tanta gente! Para o ano vamos tentar ir mais cedo e vamos também nós levar umas almofadas e uma garrafa de vinho branco :)

Uma noite bem passada

Este fim de semana tivemos o nosso amigo Duarte a visitar-nos.
E Sábado fomos jantar a casa da Gini e do Diogo.

Foi uma noite bem passada entre confidências no círculo feminino :)

e uma noite relaxada para os homens que viram futebol no computador.

o meu Tarzan

Fui ao parque Nacional de Hoge VeLuve com uns amigos: o Diogo, a Gini, o Francisco e a Matilde quando encontrei, pendurado numa àrvore, o meu Tarzan.


O ano passado fomos num dia em que choveu imenso mas este ano para variar estava bastante quente. Até deu para ficarmos com umas cores de Verão. Passamos uma óptima tarde na companhia dos nossos amigos que nos fazem sempre rir imenso e ficar bem dispostos. Andamos bastante de bicicleta o que é um óptimo exercício que ajuda a combater o excesso de calorias .

Este parque é muito bonito e embora já lá tivessemos ido duas vezes, anda nào vimos tudo, temos de lá voltar.
